People go to the gym to improve their physical body but how do you cultivate the mind? Modern science indicates that contemplative practice is one core component of mental training. Contemplative practice allows you to understand your heart and mind intimately. With practice, you can learn how to relax. You can also transform old unhelpful patterns as you train your mind in the direction of mindfulness and compassion. I am currently aiming to record every Wednesday night guided meditation, and will upload it below. If you have a request for a theme for a guided meditation, don't hesitate to email me  and I will try to include it in a future session.

If you are interested in the science and practice of mindfulness, check out this panel discussion on the film My Year of Living Mindfully, released in May 2020. I moderated the discussion between film director Shannon Harvey, mindfulness researcher Dr Nicholas Van Dam and mindfulness meditation teacher Patrick Kearney, where we discuss the science and practice of mindfulness meditation.
